Hearing his voice!
John 16:7-13
7But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. 8When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt[a] in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment: 9in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me; 10in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; 11and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned. 12"I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear ... read more

The price we pay.

The price we pay
In Luke chapter 19 there is a great story about Zacchaeus, We know he was a wee little man J that climbs up a tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus. In a world of self gratification and a lust for instant results this type of trait is rare. The trait I’m talking about is a willingness to sacrifice for our dreams. It’s easy to sit back and say let’s change this world it’s another thing to pay the price for it to come to pass.
Every dream requires fresh sacrifice on the altar of your life. It begins with a willingness to do whatever it takes to make something come ... read more

The Box We Make
October 30, 2008
The box that we make
I was praying the other day and I felt the lord say this statement to me. He said,” Don’t filter what you hear based off what you know or you will become a slave to a box that you create, rather filter it through the word of God.”
I started to think about all the things that I have accepted as a reality for my life. Things that I believe about myself based off what others have said about me. If we aren’t careful or aware we could live a life of limitations, Limitations that are set on us by ourselves not by God.
When we believe a lie about who ... read more

The Power of I Will
September 17, 2008
The Power of I will.
I think a lot of times we are waiting on something magical to happen to make our life great. We hope to get a check in the mail or win the lottery. I often wonder what would happen if we would just activate our will. Paul said in 1 Cor. 9:27 (NIV) that he beats his body and makes it his slave. He wasn’t waiting on someone to tell him what to do, he was activating his will to get what he wanted from his body.
If we want God’s best for our life we will have to fight for it! Sometimes we give in to every little carnal desire. Often we don’t even fight the negative thoughts ... read more

Another one bites the dust
September 04, 2008
It seems like every time I turn around another great leader has fallen. It's hard when you find out that your heroes are just people and screw up like the rest of us. As I was praying recently, I was trying to wrap my head around another mess up. I came upon this passage of scripture.
Ezekiel 22:23-31
23 And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 24 "Son of man, say to her: 'You are a land that is not cleansed[a] or rained on in the day of indignation.' 25 The conspiracy of her prophets[b] in her midst is like a roaring lion tearing the prey; they have devoured people; they ... read more

The Excuseanator
September 04, 2008
This is a new phrase I have developed. It relates to people who are always making excuses as to why they can't do what will be positive for their life. For example, I hear from teenagers all the time as to why they can't come to Revolution conference. Here are a few of the things I have heard
1 I don't have the money. I find this one rather funny. I must ask,"What will $100 by you right now?" A tank of gas. The latest and greatest video game. A new battery for your cell phone or for that matter your cell phone bill. LOL A haircut and your hair dye ... read more

Love people What!!
September 04, 2008
Okay so most of my blog’s have been funny and I’ll admit downright strange. Here is a serious one for you.
I was sitting in my living room the other day playing some mindless video games. I was pondering a question that I have been wondered about quite often lately. The question is this, what is the key to really loving people? Lets face it if we are honest with ourselves sometimes it can be a challenge. I look at Jesus’ example and see how much he loved people And to be quite honest I think its’ shocking. Everything he did or said was geared to helping and loving people.
I finally re ... read more

Why do people struggle over the stupidest things
September 04, 2008
Why do some people seem to struggle over the stupidest things?
I have had the rare opportunity to be able to watch large amounts of people through the years. It seems to me that people seem to struggle over issues that are completly in there control. I think that if people would make the right decisions for the right reasons at the right time they would overcome half of there self inflicted problems.
I think that if you really looked at it almost all of our problems that we have we can control. Money, relationships, attitudes, influence and these are just a few. If we ... read more

My daughter has a posse
September 04, 2008
As much as I wish it wasn't so, my daughter may have savage-like tendencies. Last Sunday we had some friends over along with their kids. I heard this horrible screaming coming from up stairs. When I went upstairs to check on them, I found my daughter and her two friends standing around a six year old all of them looking extremly guilty. Much to my surprise it was the six year old who was sobbing.
Apparantly what happened was the three girls (two 2 years old and one that was 3) held this six year old down and took turns pulling her hair her dress etc.. They basiclly beat ... read more
