You are in a worship service, and you hear a song that at once before made you connect with God in an amazing way, as you listen to that song you try to worship with the same emotion as when you heard it before. It may work for a moment, but slowly and surely you start slipping out of worship and that emotion. You have just been a subject of trying to reproduce the presence of God. When you go into worship you should be searching for something new, something that will change the way you think, act and feel about God. You wouldn’t want to eat leftovers everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner, would you? I think at some point in time you would start craving a nicely cooked steak or a fresh garden salad. So why eat leftovers with God? Search for something fresh and new with God. The Bible says in Psalm 33.3 and 40.3 that we should sing a NEW SONG to the Lord, and Lamentations 3.22-23 says that Gods mercies are new every morning. So search for Him in that way. Sing a new song and expect something new from God, not the leftovers.
